Limitations
Startup is somewhat slow. (There is a lot of setup that has to take place prior to opening the first windows.) Also note that when a new configuration is selected from the Miscellaneous Settings tab in the configuration pane, the window must be closed and reopened. Again, this is somewhat slow due to everything needing to be reloaded. This will be addressed in the future.
When digital software for RTTY directly toggles the FSK bit, Rig Executive cannot pass on that bit to the FTDX10 due to limitations of the underlying Python programming language. This exclusion does not apply to hardware interfaces such as Microham micro keyers which accept baudot code and generate the required FSK signaling via hardware. Similarly, keying for CW must be handled directly by the FTDX10, with hardware like Winkey, or by generating SSB via another application.
60 meter channelized band definition logic has not yet been incorporated.
During setup, the correct FTDX10 CAT port must be selected. While tolerant of many configuration errors, this mistake causes Rig Executive to exit since no information can be collected from the radio.
The power reading when transmitting is approximate.
It is the user’s responsibility to ultimately ensure that all FCC regulations are followed.
